Sweden scores first BREEAM In-Use International

Mentorn 1, at Kungsbron in central Stockholm, is 17,460 sq meters of mixed office and retail space owned by DNB Group.

The assessment methodology within BREEAM In-Use International enables the comparison of assets between countries and provides users with a universally understood and recognised rating. This has been achieved through various adaptations including the inclusion of an energy model, where the scoring methodology is based on asset energy, operational energy and climatic data.

“This is a real triumph for Sweden with the first building certified under the new international version of BREEAM In-Use," says Gavin Dunn, Director of BREEAM. “There are a lot more in the pipeline – in Sweden, France, Belgium and many other countries.”
