Kingspan net €1m through improved energy efficiency
The solar specialist undertook measures including the installation of its own panels and lighting solutions at two of its UK bases, with the company also reporting that a third of its energy usage came from renewable sources over the same time period.
Kingspan Insulated Panels has also revealed that it has halved its carbon emissions, while also being listed on the CDP Climate A List, in its 2015 Sustainability Report, which sets out the division’s environmental, social and economic performance for the period 2012 to 2014.
Kingspan Group, which has committed to becoming a Net-Zero Energy business by 2020, also announced that facilities in Sherburn, Holywell and Walsall in the UK & Kingscourt in Ireland do not send any of their waste to landfill.

Kingspan Insulated Panels claims that it has brought new thinking and a number of major innovations to customers in the construction industry, including research into new building techniques and the development of the unique hybrid insulation core technology IPN-QuadCore.
The launching of lighting solution ZerO Energy Lighting, the sharing of company knowledge and life cycle analysis of insulated panels have also been cited by the firm as important contributions to the industry during 2012/14.
