Distech moving European headquarters to showcase efficient solutions

The new building, which will occupy 2,500 square meters, twice the area of the existing headquarters, aims to reinforce the firm’s presence throughout Europe and Africa, while the development will showcase Distech Controls’ energy efficient technologies, making use of the company’s building automation products, along with lighting solutions from Acuity Brands.

The new headquarters will replace the current Brindas offices in the same part of the country and will be designed to offer an efficient, comfortable, and pleasant work environment for its staff and clients, with the building also featuring HVAC, Lighting, Shades and Access controls in order to balance comfort with cost-savings.

Distech Controls claims that the development is necessary to support the firm’s growth, with Mélanie Martinez, Marketing & Communication Manager at Distech Controls SAS, stating at January’s ground-breaking ceremony: “This ceremony is a true representation of Distech Controls’ commitment to the European market. Our new building symbolizes our ongoing dedication to innovation, and our passion for the success of our customers and employees.”

Contractor and architectural firm Acte I will carry out the construction of the new European headquarters, with building work on the project scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

Martin Villeneuve, Vice-President Europe Africa & Managing Director of Distech Controls SAS, added: “We have chosen to build Distech Controls’ new European head office in Brignais given the town’s strategic location.

"Situated directly on a major motorway, Brignais can easily be accessed from Lyon’s airport and train stations, greatly facilitating access for both Distech Controls’ customers and employees.”
