Danfoss scoops energy efficiency award
VLT Refrigeration Drive FC 103, claimed by Danfoss to be particularly effective in a retail environment, came out on top during the London ceremony, with the judges praising the products innovative aspects and simplicity, arguing that it would deliver excellent energy savings across a wide array of industry applications.
Danfoss say the drive has been specifically developed to maximize energy savings when used with refrigeration applications, while also being “exceptionally easy to set up” and providing a low total cost of ownership.
Sara Bernard, Marketing Manager at Danfoss Drives, emphasises how being declared a winner by industry leaders is a “fantastic achievement.”
“The award recognizes the commitment of our company to develop and bring to market innovative and dedicated products that maximize energy efficiency and deliver big savings for our customers," she said.
According to Danfoss, the drive’s key innovations include a unique set-up wizard that uses plain, easy-to-understand ‘refrigeration language’ instead of the “often-confusing” AC-drive terminology typically used by products from other suppliers, while built-in functionality eliminates the need for external components like compressor pack controllers.
The product also features a built-in electronic manual that, in the event of problems, provides suggested solutions at the touch of a button.
