Could you be the 2017 Energy Manager of the Year?

The competition, part of the Edie Sustainability Leaders Awards, requires entrants to meet a set of criteria demonstrating how they have achieved significant energy savings for their organisation through the implementation of efficiency strategies, the use of technology and engagement with employees and other stakeholders to effect positive change.

Sarah Beacock FEI, EI Skills and Capability Director, believes that the fact the award is still going 17 years since its inauguration in 2000 “demonstrates its value in raising awareness of this important discipline.”

“We've celebrated the key role energy managers play in their organisations for even longer than that and will continue to set the standards to which professional energy managers aspire,” she said.

The award, sponsored by the Energy Institute (EI), is open to both EI members, who will receive a 40 per cent discount on the entry fee, and non-members, with the early-bird rate closing on 16 August and the final deadline for entries set for September 13, although individuals can also register their ‘Intention to Enter’ and get a week’s extension on the final deadline.

The winner of the prize will be announced and presented with the trophy at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 25 January 2017. The early bird rate is £99 + VAT, rising to £149 + VAT after the August deadline.
