Smaller footprint compressor design aims for efficiency and flexibility
COMPAIR has enhanced its Ultima range, its best-in-class oil-free compressor, with the launch of a new 55 to 110kW range and a footprint that is up to 50% smaller than other oil-free compressors. The new range incorporates a new drive concept, said to deliver best in class flow and efficiency. Noise levels are as low as 69 dB(A), making Ultima one of the quietest oil-free compressors available today.
The updated Ultima model features a footprint of less than 2m2, making it significantly more compact than previous versions and similar systems. It supports working pressures up to 10 bar and delivers flow rates of up to 20m3 per minute. The compressor uses two oil-free compression stages driven by high-speed permanent magnetic motors, eliminating the need for a traditional gearbox. These motors meet IE5 efficiency standards, and the overall drive system holds an IES2 efficiency rating.
The design includes a water-cooled, closed-loop system for improved thermal performance and reduced maintenance. Optional heat recovery allows capture of up to 90% of the heat generated. Additional features include upgradeable power capacity, integrated digital control, and connectivity via CompAir’s iConn platform. The unit is compatible with multi-compressor control systems and is available with extended service and warranty coverage.
