Modular system enables scalable cooling capacity

Expanding its cooling portfolio, TRANE TECHNOLOGIES added the FLEX N, a new range of modular full-inverter scroll air cooled chillers.
The new units use non-ozone-depleting, ultra-low GWP R290 refrigerant and deliver high performance in a compact footprint across a broad range of applications, from comfort to demanding process cooling environments.
FLEX N delivers seasonal efficiency in both comfort and process cooling applications. In comfort cooling it achieves an average SEER of 5.4, while process cooling reaches an average SEPR HT of 5.9. The system operates across an extended range, supplying chilled water from 25°C to -12°C.
Its modular design supports installation of up to six units side by side with minimal clearance, enabling total cooling capacity of up to 750kW. Quick hydraulic connections and group control are intended to simplify installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Units are available in nominal capacities from 64 to 125kW in four acoustic versions, with configuration options including integrated hydraulic modules, medium- and high-pressure pumps, bypass kits, protection panels, grilles and metal mesh coil filters. FLEX N integrates with building automation systems through the Trane Symbio 800 controller.
