Low charge air-cooled ammonia chiller
The latest low charge air-cooled ammonia chiller from J&E HALL is designed to provide efficient cooling while minimising operating costs. It offers a range of cooling capacities, including cold storage (between -18°C and +15°C), process cooling (between -25°C and +7°C), and comfort cooling.
The chiller features a straightforward mechanical design that facilitates servicing and maintenance. Key components are integrated into a user-friendly control panel, which includes a compact micro-controller, cloud-based monitoring, and a touchscreen interface. A refrigerant-cooled variable speed drive enhances efficiency.
The condenser includes variable speed-controlled fans to optimise operating conditions and reduce power consumption, while low-noise fan profiles minimise sound levels during high-speed operation. An optional acoustic housing is available to further decrease noise and protect the equipment in low temperatures.
Constructed with lightweight, robust stainless-steel pipework, the chiller is resistant to corrosion. It also features an ammonia leak detection system for constant monitoring.
The HallScrew semi-hermetic compressor, specifically designed for ammonia refrigerant, is central to the chiller’s operation. This design increases reliability and reduces maintenance needs, with minimal moving parts that lower the risk of breakdowns. ■
