High-efficiency roof fans with low noise levels

Increasing regulatory requirements and growing attention to indoor air quality have made ventilation a central consideration in residential, commercial and tertiary buildings. In environments such as shopping centres, offices, hotels and residential complexes, continuous air renewal is needed without generating acoustic discomfort or increasing energy consumption. SODECA’s VTV/EC centrifugal roof-mounted extract fans are designed to meet these needs, combining energy-efficient operation with low noise output. The units feature 25mm thick mineral wool perimeter insulation integrated into the casing to reduce noise transmission and enhance indoor comfort.
Constructed from sheet steel with a Magnelis coating, the fans are rated C5 for corrosion protection under EN ISO 12944-2, providing durability even in demanding environments. High-efficiency EC technology motors optimise power use and allow precise control, while pressure taps enable automatic regulation of constant airflow or constant pressure to suit specific installation requirements.
Installation and maintenance are facilitated by an opening mechanism that provides direct access to the inlet duct and impeller, simplifying inspection, cleaning and servicing. The design integrates energy efficiency, low noise performance and corrosion resistance into a single roof-mounted ventilation solution.
