Cooling solutions for data centres

The Vertiv CoolLoop Trim Cooler is a thermal management solution aimed at supporting air and liquid cooling applications specifically for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing facilities. This system is designed to operate effectively in various climate conditions, making it suitable for hybrid-cooled and liquid-cooled data centres.

Key features include the potential for a significant reduction in annual cooling energy consumption by up to 70%, along with a space-saving design that offers 40% less footprint compared to traditional cooling systems. The unit can handle fluctuating supply water temperatures up to 40°C and cold plate functionality at 45°C. Its straightforward water connections facilitate easy integration with other components, such as Vertiv’s CoolChip coolant distribution units and immersion cooling systems.

The CoolLoop Trim Cooler also utilises low global warming potential refrigerants and can achieve scalable cooling capacities of nearly 3 MW in air-cooled configurations. It is engineered to effectively operate in free cooling mode, utilising natural ambient conditions to reduce electrical consumption and emissions, while also adhering to upcoming EU F-gas regulations.
