The Green Deal

In October 2011 when the Energy Act 2011 came into force the government successfully introduced provisions for a new ‘Green Deal’ and a new Energy Company Obligation (ECO) to replace the existing Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) and the Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP).
