This CPD module focuses on energy efficiency issues for existing compressed air systems operating with pressures up to 10bar(g) and with compressors with a power input between 10kW and 400kW. Compressed air systems are widely used within industry for many different applications – in fact according to Carbon Trust figures around 10 per cent of all electricity consumed in the industrial sector is for air compression.
